Today, we were very fortunate - the distinguished conductor, Hilary Davan Wetton, came to JCG and conducted our Joint Orchestra. 

Formerly Director of Music at Cranleigh and St Paul’s Girl’s School, Mr Davan Wetton is accustomed to energising students, and his engaging style brought the Concert Hall to life, as we prepare for our Summer concert on 30th June. 

Since leaving the teaching profession Mr Davan Wetton has become a major force in the conducting world, and performs all over the world. He has been Professor of Conducting at the Guildhall School of Music, conducts the London Mozart Players, and has strong links with the Jersey Symphony Orchestra. 

Over here to plan their August concert, we are planning on developing strong links with both Mr Davan Wetton and the JSO next year – how exciting for our students!
